Happy lunch time, Hart Beat. What better way to celebrate a Thursday lunch than with the newest installment of your favorite Instacrush series. I have a pretty boring salad packed away but to spice it up, I’m going be looking at one of my most favorite Instagram accounts, a Miss Posie Harwood.
Since I started working at Food52 this past fall, I’ve met so many kind, amazing and talented people through the company. I am not much of a cook myself and have never wanted to start a cooking blog (I repeat, HART BEAT WILL NEVER BECOME A COOKING BLOG) that it’s so nice to be surrounded by such pretty food all the time. One of my favorite things to come out of working here has been the exposure to so many great photographers (looking at you James Ransom). One of the best I’ve seen is Posie Harwood who used to work at Food52 and is now working for King Arthur Flour.
Posie is an amazing cook, baker, and more importantly to all those who don’t work with her, an incredibly talented photographer. One of the things that I love about Posie’s Instagram feed is the fact that no matter what the photo is of (be it a cow, a cookie or a cobweb) I know it was her that took it. The filters and crops are all very similar and so it’s easy to fall in love with each photo. Plus it doesn’t hurt that she bakes the most delicious looking pies and tarts AND spends much of her summer in rural Vermont. Posie, can I have your life?
All the photos here are taken by Posie and featured on her Instagram (@posiehh) and I encourage each and every one of you to look her up and follow immediately. You can also read her recipes and see even MORE photographs on her blog, 600 Acres.
All the beautiful photographers come from @posiehh.
