A couple days ago I posted the beginning of a series of classic movies for this September. The first movie I wrote about,”The Philadelphia Story” is one of my favorites. And today I want to share another classic romantic movie with you Hart Beat.
Have you seen “Casablanca”? I really hope so Hart Beat, it’s one of the most romantic movies ever made. Actually, it’s probably the most romantic movie of all time. If you haven’t seen it the movie follows the unrequited love (the most kind of romantic love really) of Rick and Ilsa in Casablanca, Morocco during the Nazi invasion of Paris. Here’s a clip from the movie of the moment that Rick and Ilsa see each other for the first time in years.
“I remember every detail. The Germans wore grey, you wore blue.”
Oh my, I forgot how much I love this movie. The last time I saw it was on my flight to Berlin on my post college Europe trip. I was so happy to see that the airline had it on demand and it really felt meant to be. You should really see it Hart Beat. There are so many classic lines and the heartbreaking separation and love between the two leads is palpable in every scene.
“Of all the gin joints, in all the towns,
in all the world, she walks into mine.”
