The Philadelphia Story - Hannah Hart Beat

Four Internet Things for You

The Philadelphia Story - Hannah Hart Beat

Evening, Hart Beat. How was your Sunday? For me, it was a lazy day here in Maine. I played tennis with my aunt, took a (perhaps too long nap), and made dinner for me and my Grandmother. Tonight, I’ve just been poking around the internet and thought I’d share a few things that I’ve seen recently and really enjoyed. I think you might like them too, Hart Beat.

  1. The 25 Best Flims of the 21st Century. So Far. According to The New York Times.
There are obvious choices like There Will Be Blood and Moonlight but a few that surprised me. How many have you seen, Hart Beat?
  2. Nail art from Chillhouse on Instagram.
The new wellness coffee shop and spa in New York, founded by beloved Cyndi Ramirez of Taste the Style, is owning my post-Brooklyn Instagram right now. I’m screen grabbing almost all the nail looks to take with me into the fall.
  3. The Most Intimate Photograph in The New Yorker.
Not only is the photograph alarmingly beautiful but I love what writer Chris Wiley has to say about it.
  4. Scandals of Classic Hollywood: Katherine Hepburn’s Trousers from the archives of The Hairpin
I just rewatched one of my favorite movies, The Philadelphia Story, which stars Hepburn as the wittiest socialite you’ll ever find. Of course, immediately I went online reading after and thank goodness because never have I read a more scandalous Hollywood tale.

Talk tomorrow, Hart Beat.

#HappyFriday: A hectic week recap mind melt

Screen Shot 2015-11-13 at 4.14.52 PM

Hey Hart Beat. It’s FRIDAY!!!! I’m sure you’re equally excited as I am. Work this week has been super busy now that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I’m lucky that I love my job so much so that even when it’s super stressful I’m still incredibly happy and feel so lucky to be working for such a great company. This Friday, instead of five articles I’ve loved reading this week, here are a few things that deserved their own posts this week but then didn’t because I was too busy. Here’s to hoping next week gets to you more, Hart Beat.

1, Got this song in my Discovery Weekly on Monday. Um yes. Spotify, how did you know I love acoustic covers of pop and rap songs? #mustbedata

2. The piece “The Running Novelist” in The New Yorker about a bar owner turned author and runner was so inspiring.

3. Aziz Ansari’s new Netflix original show “Master of None” is AMAZING. I love every detail of the show, especially that it looks like the whole thing was filmed in my old neighborhood in Greenpoint. The bars he goes to are the ones I used to haunt and I love that. P.S. Terri Gross interviewed him this week and it was equally awesome.

4. I found my new love in Snapchat. Follow me by searching for hannahshazam.

4. I went home last weekend to the Berkshires and took some photos for Instagram. Take a look in case you’re craving a trip to the country right now.

Hannah Hart Beat: Snowe Home Magazine

Snowe launches an online magazine

Hannah Hart Beat: Snowe Home Magazine

Morning, Hart Beat! I hope you all had nice, relaxing and restful weekends. It was a blast working at the Food52 Makers Conference yesterday and if you missed it you can catch up on twitter and instagram. At the makers the makers conference one of the speakers, Andres Modak, is the founder of a lovely brand that I’ve been following on Instagram lately.

Snowe is an online store that carries very minimal-esque home and kitchen things. Everything that they sell is amazing and on my Christmas list (hint, hint, MOM). I was happy to see yesterday morning that the brand is also launching an online “Magazine” to go along and tell the stories and purposes of the products that they sell. I had fun yesterday reading through the first few posts and I thought you might too. This is definitely one that I’m adding to my daily blog check up list.

My favorite article so far? The Best Boozy Bar Cart of course. Although, I would like to differ with Snowe on one point. Rum and coke is most DEFINITELY a cocktail.

#HappyFriday: Catbird, musician emojis & more

Hannah Hart Beat

Hi Hart Beat! See, I didn’t forget about you. This week was pretty hectic at work and in life so I didn’t have as much time to write to you all 😞. Also, to be honest, I was engrossed in readying Diary of a Teenage Girl and any free time that I had I spent reading it. If you are looking for something to read this fall then I HIGHLY recommend it. It might even be worth it’s own post soon so I won’t say too much. Anyway this weekend I’m looking forward to napping and… whelp napping is the first on my mind now. For you, here are five articles I loved reading this week when I took a break from Diary of a Teenage Girl. See you on, Monday!

Simple times.

#HappyFriday: LOVE WINS

Screen Shot 2015-06-26 at 2.27.03 PM

Oh Hart Beat, today is making me so, so, so happy. When I heard the news this morning about the Supreme Court ruling I honestly started crying at work. I was surprised by my intense emotional reaction but the more I thought about the decision and what this means for so many people I love and how much this means to all the men and women out there who have fought for the right to love. I wish I could be dancing out in the streets but instead I’m sitting in my office listening to this great playlist pulled together on Spotify. So much love out there right now, Hart Beat.

Besides the incredibly happy news that’s radiating through the country right now, here are the five articles that I loved looking through this week. Enjoy, Hart Beat! And happy PRIDE too!

1. Take to trip this weekend to Miami.. through the interwebs.

2. How to give your bike a little summer maintenance.

3. A reading list for your summer.

4. Baby chicks!

5. Damien Rogers explains poetry.
