Good friends: A. in Africa

So, one of my favorite parts about living in New York City is that I get to see so many of my best friends on a daily basis. Unfortunately, I do have some amazing friends not living in one of the five boroughs. One of my best friends is actually living in South Africa right now. This is a shout out to you A.

The two of us our senior year of high school in Italy.

A. and I have been best friends ever since first grade and I really hate living so far away from her right now. I know she’s having an amazing time volunteering for a year at the International Primate Rescue center outside of Pretoria South Africa but I can’t wait for her to move back state side. When A. told me that she was going to take the year after graduation to move to South Africa to help primates I was so impressed and proud of her.

A picture A. sent me of her favorite primate, David.
Look at this face.

I don’t get to talk to A. very often but I just got to catch up with her and hear about her amazing adventure taking care of rescued primates from all over the world. The IPR takes volunteers from all over the world on either short term or long term volunteering opportunities. A. is there for a year so I won’t see her until next July!

Love you A. and I can’t wait to see you soon!
